Thursday 1st

Said goodbye to Oseney Crescent. Removed to New Southgate. Ambulance Exam. Did alright I think.

Friday 2nd

Busy laying the Oilcloth

Sunday 4th

Sent club off to night to Mr Timperley. P.O. for 8/- Numbers E56 106 311 & E56 106 312. Also wrote to P. Plant & T Young at Netley.

Thursday 8th

Ambulance meeting.

Sunday 11th

Ern & Flo came over. Hearth Stone warming

Monday 12th

Tried to get in the R.A.M.C. but was too late. Full up when I applied.

Tuesday 13th

Tried to join the Army but was rejected owing to having false teeth.

Thursday 15th

Ambulance meeting.

Saturday 17th

No work yet. Met B Green had not seen him for about 8 years. He told me E Lavery was married at last.

Saturday 24th

I & Ron went to the pictures

Sunday 25th

Went to S Green’s to tea. He is married.

Thursday 29th

I & C Jenkins walked to Enfield Lock to try & get work. We neither knew where it was so we enjoyed it after a fashion. Never again.

Saturday 31st

Went & saw about joining the Territorials. The 11th Batt. County of London. Training at White City. Expect to join Monday.
